In his appraisal of the Yamaha R6, our correspondent Patrick van Sleight takes a sober look at the cost of living (with) the dream. The R6, as he points out, is a highly desirable machine that transports its rider "into a world of high-revving mechanical and spiritual insanity where wind and exhaust noise merges into a wail of cataclysmic proportions". Indeed.
