Goodbye, Patrick. Though I knew you for only a couple of weeks, I am saddened beyond words by the loss of your life ... your sunny smile ... your gentleness and kindness. May you rest in peace.
Patrick von Sleight ( R.I.P) to all the folks out there who knew pat,he used to be a feature writer for Top Bike,he left us on sunday.at this point no one knows how he died, just that he was found in his flat on sunday dead.
“In a car you are always in a compartment, and because you’re used to it, you don’t realize that everything you see through that car window is just more TV. You’re a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. On a (motor) cycle the frame is gone. You’re completely in contact with it all. You’re in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming." - Robert M. Pirsig
I have been so obsessed with bikes, I turned it into a job. Might not have been the wisest thing. The fun factor disappeared. Now it is a hobby again, and I will pay the rent in another way. Who cares, as long as I stay on two wheels in one way or another.
